Tri-ang Jaguar E-Type Pedal Car
Overview
The Tri-ang Jaguar E-Type pedal car is a vintage children’s ride-on toy produced in the early to mid-1960s (circa 1960–1966). Manufactured by Tri-ang (Lines Bros Ltd.) in the United Kingdom, the pedal car was styled after the iconic Jaguar E-Type sports car. It features a pressed steel body, solid rubber tires, simple steering wheel, and a pedal-driven drivetrain. The design captures the long bonnet and sleek profile of the original car, simplified for child use.

By the mid-20th century, Lines Bros became one of the largest toy manufacturers in the world, producing pedal cars, model railways, dolls, and die-cast vehicles. Pedal cars were a significant product line from the 1930s through the 1970s. The company entered receivership in 1971, and its divisions were later sold.
